Norton Uninstall Password
If you are trying to uninstall Symantec Norton Antivirus Corporate from a PC it may ask for a password. By default the password is usually symantec or Symantec. If this fails then you may need to do a registry hack to make the Norton Uninstall Password go away. This removes the protection against users uninstalling Norton Antivirus but sometimes it is necessary to obtain the Norton Uninstall Password and it simply is not available. To get Norton to allow you to uninstall via add/remove programs open up the registry.Navigate to the following key.
\\HKLM\Software\Intel\LanDesk\VirusProtect6\CurrentVersion\Administrator Only\Security\
Look for a key that sets Norton to use an uninstall password it is called useVPuninstallpassword key and will be set to a value of 1.
Set useVPuninstallpassword key to 0 and then uninstall Norton without a password using Add/Remove programs.
