Minneapolis Bridge Colapse
When I heard that the bridge over the Mississippi on 35W in Minneapolis collapsed my first instinct was to head over to the scene to see what was going on. That day and in the days following I decided to stay away to allow for rescue crews to work in peace. I didn't really have to go to the scene because the bridge colapse in Minneapolis was so well documented. Now that a few weeks have gone by there are many videos and pictures on the internet of the collapsed bridge. Many have high production value and some make a great tribute to those injured and lost in the bridge colapse. Jilly A Popular English Name
I was doing some research into the first name "Jilly" because we call our dog Jilly and I was curious to see if others were using the name. I came across a great poet named Jilly Appleheimer who has several poems out on various websites on the internet.
Jilly Appleheimer wrote a great poem about Madrid Spain which takes the reader to Spain as a tourist. Looking further I found another called Victoria which was very cool. If you like poetry or may be travelling to Spain check out some poems from Jilly Appleheimer you won't be dissapointed.
Minnesota Vikings Stadium
The current stadium of the Minnesota Vikings is the Metrodome in Minneapolis Minnesota. Tonight the Minnesota Vikings square off against the St Louis Rams in the Metrodome in the first preseason game of their season. A friend of mine at work has tickets on the 50 yard line right behind the Vikings bench. He was wanting to see where he'd be sitting so I steered him to the Metrodome Seating Chart website where there is a huge picture of the
vikings seating chart and Twins seating chart.
Gene Simmons Family Jewels
If you've not seen it you need to check out Gene Simmons Family Jewels, a show on A&E. It's another reality show following Gene Simmons and
Shannon Tweed and their son and daughter through daily life. Gene Simmons was the bassist and cofounder of Kiss and today is a successful businessman. In addition to the comedy element of the show it's cool watching Gene work and seeing a bit of how his business oriented mind works. Shannon Tweed and her sister are funny and are always trying to get him to take a vacation. When they do he's always trying to sneak work in and gets busted. In the second season,
Gene Simmons Family Jewels is fast becoming my favorite show on A&E. The show airs on Sundays at 8:00 PM Central Time.
